I have a Lenovo Thinkpad.

It came with Older displaylink drivers factory installed.

I got the Mediasonic SmartDock Pro HV1-U60D2L and installed the drivers that came with it on CD.

It functioned reasonably well, however when I purchased a second monitor and went to hook it up through the docking station, the second display would not function.

I downloaded the End User cleaner to uninstall the older drivers completely so that there would be no conflicts with installing the latest 8.XX drivers.

Anytime I go to install the display link drivers it comes up with 1 of two messages, either the install ended prematurely because it was interrupted, or that it did not complete successfully.

Also when I plug the docking station in via USB it errors out when trying to download the drivers from windows update.

I have attached the support tool files which I downloaded from the website.

Hello Larkin,

I can see some of the files are corrupted (setupapi.app.log for instance). This and the installation being unable to complete would suggest you have issues on the computer.

I would recommend you look that way. You may wish to try an older driver (like 7.9 M7 (http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=576)) we have in case it can install despite the computer issues. However, I would not expect it to work too much unless the root cause is addressed.

The log files don't show any device using DisplayLink connected.
