Installation Error

Hi,

So I have the latest displaylink driver and ubuntu distro.

Install goes fine until the final stage, where the script doesn't run to completion.

It stops after:

// Adding udev rule for DisplayLink DL-3xxx/5xxx devices

Please see attached screenshot for further details.

If anyone could advise on troubleshooting, I'd be very grateful.

Hi,

This looks like a successful installation - but you wouldn't start a new thread if everything was working fine :) What is the device that you're trying to use? Can you attach logs?
It's now normal that DisplayLinkManager is not started until a device is connected.

When I try and bring up the thumbnail in the gcalder94 post I get "you do not have permission to access this page". Do I have to have further privileges to read messages.

I'm having the same problem installing on Ubuntu 16.04:(
