How to use DisplayLink with OS sierra

Hello everyone,

I have read about the limitation with OS Sierra and displaylink, however my problem is not related to the limitations. For some reason, when i install display link, nothing happens. iDisplay shows up and a shadowed thumbnail shows up on the top left bar on the mac. but nothing else. Not sure what else to do.
Any help?

I am trying to use Displaylink to connect a monitor to my macbook using a USB to VGA adapter. I downloaded the software off the website, but I cant seem to get it to work. I installed the software and restarted the computer, but nothing seems to happen (no app, or setting with displaylink name).

I think it's best to open a ticket following the instructions in http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301-how-to-report-macos-issues-to-displaylink

We need to check precisely if it's a DisplayLink device and if it appears on the bus.
