Driver refresh

Hi Displaylink,

When will the new driver be released? Will be happy to see if a few bugs of mine gets fixed.

Yeah, an update would be nice. I've been using Windows exclusively on this machine for too long. Still crashes X immediately upon trying to attach a monitor. Any update on the progress would be awesome.

We are targeting to release the refreshed driver in coming days.

However, X crashes must be fixed in X itself, same goes to some problems that unity compositor has - so new driver is unlikely to help in these cases. Please raise bugs upstream, or add your comments to existing ones.

I guess as it is a clean install of Ubuntu, it's up to Ubuntu to fix X. (?) :D

Anyway, I've already reported the bug. Thanks!
