Hi,
this has been requested in various places already, such as the DisplayLink.com suggestion area, as well as GitHub for example, see:
http://support.displaylink.com/forums/287786-displaylink-feature-suggestions/suggestions/17798941-make-the-linux-driver-open-source-and-get-it-into
http://support.displaylink.com/forums/287786-displaylink-feature-suggestions/suggestions/15406779-add-the-driver-into-linux-kernel
https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/25
There is an article in the knowledgebase which tries to explain why it hasn't been done yet, but quite a few users feel it's not a good explanation:
http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1104056-why-has-displaylink-not-released-source-code-for-t
So, could you please open source and mainline the entire driver for Linux, so that DisplayLink devices just work natively and out of the box on Linux?
