WDDM 2.2 support?

Hi, I'd like to use DiaplyLink adapter with WDDM2.2, but the latest driver 8.3 M seems WDDM1.3.

Is there any plan to support WDDM 2.2?

If yes, please let me know when it will be available?

Hello,

For WDDM 2.2 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update onwards, you would use the new architecture driver where WDDM version is irrelevant.

WDDM 2.2 was introduced in Windows 10 Creators Update, if I'm not mistaken. Therefore the new architecture driver should be used and the WDDM version is not applicable to DisplayLink driver which uses another standard windows display driver model.

I checked DxDiag output in my PC (Win10 RS2), and it says DisplayLink Device seems WDDM1.3 (plz see below).
In such case, DisplayLink works as WDDM2.2 ? (In other words, WDDM1.3 is not applicable for DisplayLink?)

Hello,
The DirectX diag utility I have also complains that the DisplayLink driver is not WHQL signed... Which is technically impossible for any driver on Windows Update. To be on Windows Update, they MUST be first validated, or manually signed by Microsoft hardware compatibility team.
Otherwise they won't install without a big warning asking if you trust the publisher.
