Hello,

I was having lag and performance issues with previous (1.4) driver. Just installed the new version and everything is working very smooth (like it did on 17.04 with driver 1.3).

To uninstall previous driver : sudo ./displaylink-driver-1.4.210.run uninstall

I had to power off the computer, unplug the docking station, wait a few seconds, restart everything and activate the monitor.

I'm using a Plugable USB-C triple display (https://plugable.com/products/ud-ultcdl/) with 2 external FullHD monitors.

Thanks for the driver update !

Same here with Ubuntu 17.10, for the first five minutes it looks very good with the new driver version.
Took you guys very long but I'm happy it finally works now =)

Could you tell me what exactly you had to install to get a docking station monitor with DisplayLink 4.1 to work with (K)Ubuntu 17.10?

- Did you install anything else than dkms and displaylink-driver-4.1.9.run ?

Well, I installed it back on 17.04 (and already had dkms installed BTW). But that's all.

EDIT: no that's wrong, I had to use the workaround describe on the website because of the "too new" XWindow server
