I just purchased the D3100 docking station for my Dell XPS-15. I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I followed the installation instructions for the drivers, https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/684649

I still can't get my monitor to connect to the HDMI ports on the docking station. Headphones aren't working either. Do you have any steps to get the monitor and audio to work?

beware, my dock station have problem with 4-pin jack connector (sound + mic together in one jack).
