Hopefully someone from Displaylink can assist with this:

I am running Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS and had display link working fine.
However, after installing some other software I seem to inadvertently killed my displaylink. I have since tried a fresh install as follows:

FYI
uname -r
4.4.0-134-generic
lspci |grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation
UEFI secure boot is off

sudo displaylink-installer uninstall

Following the steps here
https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/684649-how-to-install-displaylink-software-on-ubuntu

I downloaded the driver displaylink-driver-1.3.54.run

sudo ./displaylink-driver-1.3.54.run

So there is still no DVI available.
USB to display link was connected for all of the above.
Any idea why this is no longer working?

Can you post logs captured with the support tool?

Thanks
