Hello

I have a MacBook Pro 13 "(mid 2010). I'm using macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6.

I am aware there may be problems with Display Link and MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6.

But the most important question for starters: Does Display Link work with my computer or do I need to purchase another computer, 2013 or newer to install an adapter and drivers?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Magnus

Hello Magnus,

DisplayLink driver for macOS 10.13.6 requires Airplay compatible Mac platform and in case of MacBook Pro Airplay is supported from early 2011 editions.

Szymon

Are you guys any closer for 10.13.6 working with multiple adapters (including rotation) properly (including the correct resolutions for the screens)?

I had to upgrade my work Mac to 10.13.6 for the latest Safari, but won't be upgrading to Mojave for at least 12-18 months... and now one of my screens is dead in the water and the other is showing 1920x1080 max resolution.

I get that both Apple and DisplayLink are blaming each other for this, and that most of it rests with apple but... is there *any* solution even close to arrival?

The current airplay solution isn't great and it messes up the Macbook Pro 2015 native screen resolution when disconnecting from a dock more often than not.
