I tried the solution that worked for Erik, but did not seem to have any effect on the issue. Likewise, I've tried both open source and proprietary drivers for the NVIDIA card. I've yet to reinstall the OS, which is the last thing I have yet to try.
The i-tec dock seems to lose its connection every 10-15 minutes or so. I've attached logs from the support tool below.
