View Full Version : AOC i1601FXUX - no signal

Hello,

I've recently purchased a AOC i1601FXUX monitor but it does not seem to connect to my MacBook Pro (mid 2012), macOS mojave 10.14.6. I've downloaded the current DisplayLink USB graphics software, bought a new cable in case that was the issue, rebooted my MacBook, and also enabled DisplayLink Kext as per these instructions: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1188004.

However I'm still experiencing issues. The AOC i1601FXUX powers up, displays a 'no signal' message, and then goes blank. Any ideas on what the problem could be please?

According to the specifications I found online (https://us.aoc.com/en/products/i1601fwux/specs) that display requires a host system with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate mode video output in order to work. Since your MacBook does not have USB-C port, it is not compatible. Further to this, the display does not use DisplayLink technology.

Thank you rboerner. I ended up returning the monitor.
