On my MacBook Pro 16" with Catalina 10.15.6 running DisplayLink 1.1 with the main display lid closed, the add-on Display connected through WavLink keep going to sleep every 20-30 seconds. Definitely a non-workable configuration. However, when/of the display lid is up, both displays function normally. Please help address.

Thank you,

Ed Benyukhis

Welcome to our hell.

I assume you're referring to clamshell mode (using an external monitor with the laptop closed)? Apparently not supported.

They say they support Macs, until you actually ask them about basic features like that and the response is the same: "It's planned but no timeline" or "it's Apple's fault"

Was working just fine with the beta drivers *and* pre Catalina 10.15.6. After upgrade to the OS Beta drivers stopped working and upgrading to DisplayLink 1.1 did not address the issue. Enabling clamshell mode should be one of the very basic functions. This is why many of us purchase external displays.
Thanks,

Btw, and this is for the benefit of the company. I will simply return the WavLink device and replace it with something that *has* functional* basic features like clamshell support. Those of you in the customer engineering and field support areas reading these posts, can you please get back with a firm date of when this issue can be resolved? Future purchase decisions depend on your responses.
Thank you,
