DisplayLink Installation Problems with Ubuntu 20.04.1

Hi,
I am trying to get the Insignia USB-HDMI cable adapter (https://www.insigniaproducts.com/pdp/NS-PCCXHDMI6/6354090)to work with my Ubuntu 20.04.1 installation on my HP Envy Desktop (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-512gb-ssd-nightfall-black/6428087.p?skuId=6428087) and was reaching out for help. Is this unit possible to use with this setup?

I have followed the instructions here -

And get -

How do I get this to succeed? I am having trouble getting this to work successfully, as shown above (dock won't disconnect? ...)

Hi, This cable does not use DisplaylInk.
In order for the cable to work, USB-C port of your laptop/PC muse natively support Video transfer over USB-C - either USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt3.

These are sticky for me, trying to get a USB->HDMI adapter supported by Ubuntu and having the hardest time - thoughts?

I can. But first, full disclosure, I work at i-tec Technologies, so I would recommend our products as I know them. Just so you know.
