Before the big sur update the monitor at least gave me two HiDPI choices 4k and 2k? Now I no longer get the 2k as a HiDpi choice. I never received any of the other HiDpi settings that my other monitors which are the exact same but plugged in via mini-display get which are many HiDPi settings.

I have attached the logs from my computer. This is becoming unbearable. 4k native resolution is not really usable.

+1 to this, after running through Fujitsu PR09 dock scaled options are very limited

I am using a dell dock. I wonder if it is the docking station.

If you click to select the 'Default for display' option radio button next to the 'Resolution' category does that list all of the display's resolutions, and if so does choosing one of them help?

It's the same with Dell D6000 dock

No it does not, running anything through PR09 or D6000 doesn't support Retina/HiRes modes beyond default for display which runs full 4K which in office scenario is as stated by OP useless.

Sorry that was not helpful...

According to this post --> https://www.displaylink.org/forum/showpost.php?p=91546&postcount=4 the next release of the macOS DisplayLink Manager App version 1.3 will be released in the near future. Maybe that will help in this case?

I went and bought a new usb to display port and I have the same issue. I don't have any other hi resolution choices besides 4k. This was not an issue with the old driver. I went back and installed it and I got a hi res 2k option.

Hi thanks for the update that is great news. Where do I add my email I am not sure where you are saying.

Also could you tell me if 2550x1440 will be available? It would be awesome if I could set the monitor to the same native resolution as an iMac. The other monitors of the same model support this over minidp.

Hello,
The Get Notifications on the right column of https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos
I'm afraid I don't know if 2560x1440 is a mode advertised by your display.
We don't manipulate what the monitor advertises supporting on macOS (= we don't add modes we infer the monitor could support (https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/1139683)).
Kind regards,
Alban

1.3 DOES NOT resolve hires problem with DisplayLink, it still offers only low resolution mode. Attached are screens of DL "supported" modes.

One is the default view of scaled options, second one with "Alt version" of all modes. For comparison third one is pure MacBook through direct HDMI.

I have just installed the long awaitened update to V1.3 with HiDPI support. However, HiDPI still does not work. Attached a screenshot of the same display natively connected and over displaylink.

Same report here, with an M1 Mac running display link 1.3 on a LG 4k just get the 1080 and 4k (2k is low res mode).

So any news on when DL will really support HiRes/Retina mode in docs?
