I have a 2022 MacBook Pro M2 running Ventura 13.1

When I try to install the DisplayLink drivers found on this page below I get an error that says
"The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

Here is the page I downloaded the drivers from. I tried both the newest, and the first legacy option and got the same result.
https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos

Any help is appreciated!

Hello,

Please move the installation file from its current location and put it on your desktop, different folder or create a new folder and move it there - it seems to be related to issues with permissions.
If the issue persists please let us know.

Hilarious. That worked like a charm. I never would have thought to have tried that. Thank you!

Hello,

Are you seeing the exact same message "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." or is it something else, like "A newer version is already installed"?
