Apple Music Videos blank when DisplayLink Manager is running.

Can't play videos in Apple Music. Audio comes through fine, but video is just a black box (even on built in screen of laptop)

Shutting down DisplayLink Manager, the video instantly appears.

Is DisplayLink not playing nicely with Apple DRM?

The issue is related to HDCP. As DisplayLink drivers do not support HDCP and it seems like Apple Music uses HDCP. The issue was known to happen with downloaded content so it is also available offline (possibly not all files will be affected) . The problem did not seem to occur while streaming. Also it has been noticed to happen especially with Bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately we do not have any fixes for this issue at this time or workarounds.

Is there any update that would at least allow viewing the protected content on the MacBook screen, even if it can’t be seen on the other displays?
