I recently upgraded to Ventura 13.4. My WavLink WL-UG69DK5 is no longer working with the external monitors. In the DisplayLink manager app I see the message "No DisplayLink -enabled display detected"
Are DisplayLink aware of the issue? Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks
Sean

This problem seems to have gone away. I can't figure out how to delete posts on this forum though

Hello, did you do something to fix it or did it do it by itself? I have the same problem !!

Have both of you gone into settings > privacy & security > screen recording
...and moved the slider to make display link active?
Without that, the screens will not disconnect and display anything

Hi,
I have allowed the Screen Recording and DisplayLink still does not recognize my other monitor.
Current setup:
2020 MacBook Pro M1- 16Gb, Ventura 13.4.1
External monitors - Acer KG271(detected, functioning as extended display)
- Dell P2419H
Also, currently using an Anker 5-in-1 Thunderbolt 4 mini dock
I'd love any help to get this fixed.
Thanks all,

I offered a tip earlier that wasn't helping anyone and now I know why. I bought a new Mac laptop with OS 13.4, the same is happening to me (in clamshell mode and after the 2 external monitors go to "sleep" overnight) where my second display is not being recognized by Displaylink software when I try to "wake up" the screens.
I'll run the display link support tool the next time it happens and report this.

I'm having the same issue. As soon as my MacBook Air goes to sleep, the monitors will not wake back up. I have to unplug the USB-C cable, turn off the power to the port, then turn everything back on. It's super frustrating.

I have to power cycle my dock as well. Just had to do it again so I ran their logger app and emailed the log to their support. Here's the link for doing that.

Update:
Not sure if this helps anyone -- Daniel from support got back and recommended these steps but didn't say if they actually solve the problem or if they're just a workaround. I did them and it has cleared up the issue FOR NOW.
1. download the DisplayLink Support Tool available here
3. log into your computer.
4. Run the DisplayLink Support Tool.
5. In top menu bar, click on Advanced and select Reset Screen Layout:
6. If needed, go to Mac settings and reconfigure your display layout
Daniel also created an internal complaint for the problem so DisplayLink techs can try to solve it asap.

Yesterday's support person said DisplayLink techs do not know why external monitors are not coming up. I'm guessing the more logs we can send them, the better our chances.

I am also having this problem. I did steps 1 through 4 and sent the log to support but I am not sure how to do step 5. Where is the "Advanced" button you used to reset the screen layout? I would like to use this even as a workaround until they fix the underlying problem. Thanks!!

You have to:
1. download and install the support tool.
2. launch the support tool
3. on Mac, next to the little apple on the top menu bar (top left of your screen) you click "advanced"
4. when you click that, the 3rd option down is reset screen layout.
It's not a good sign that in the past few weeks I'm contributing more support and knowledge in this forum than DisplayLink is.

I installed DisplayLink, but my monitor is not connected.
I tried "reset screen layout" but it didn't work.

I found the cause.
I had a Mac connected to a 3.2 Gen1 USB-A port
I needed to connect to the correct upstream port
Case solved.
Thank you.
