Hi There,

Not sure if anyone else has had the same issue but I'm having trouble connecting my 2017 Macbook Pro running on Ventura OSX 13 to my Thinkpad Universal USB-C v2 docking station with 2 screens.

When connected, the DisplayLink app (V 1.8.1) doesn't seem to recognise that there are multiple displays that I should be able to extend to. instead, it just mirrors the display across both screens.

I've gone down the route of turning off and on, uninstalling re-installing, to no avail.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this?

I've used the MacBook with displaylink with other lenovo ThinkPad docking stations with no issues, but this one doesn't seem to work..

Thanks!

According to the information provided by Lenovo for the docking station you are using --> https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories/acc500106 the docking station does NOT use DisplayLink technology. As a result, DisplayLink will not be able to assist you.

Based on your description of the behavior, the dock you are using has a DisplayPort MST hub inside of it. macOS does not support DisplayPort MST technology, which is why both displays connected to the dock are mirrored.
