I have a DL Plug & Display multifunction adapter running for several years. The video output (VGA & HDMI) suddenly quit. I have my network cable, an external drive, and my wireless mouse running off of it without issue. I disconnected everything, uninstalled and plugged back in with no success. the monitor works directly plugged into my Dell laptop.
Interestingly, Device Manager shows 2 instances. I've never looked, so I don''t know if this is new/different. (see attachment).
The device ID's are correct per https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/544834-my-displaylink-device-does-not-work-at-all-or-i-g
