Hey all,
I'm trying to figure something out. What is the difference between the DisplayLink Presenter and DisplayLink Desktop (Demo) Android apps?

vs

Hello,
On an off-the-shelf phone, there isn't a significant difference, and the advice is to use DisplayLink Presenter.
That's why we will fold the "Demo" into the existing "Presenter", adding settings in the app to tweak the behaviour.

Alban

Is it safe to assume that the Demo version is the one from 5+ years ago where you all showed that it is possible to support multiple screens on Android?

Not fully.
The challenge is with Android and Play Store apps permissions, rather than us issuing an apk.
Thanks,
Alban

Which makes sense, is there any possibility a branch version could be released outside of the main app store just for experimental purposes?
I know the Android market becomes more limited by the day but I have 2-3 phones hooked up to different DisplayLink Docks with resized DPIs that would be interesting to get into pseudo second screen mode.
