Hi everyone,

My system info:

Computer: MackBook Pro (M4 Pro / 2024)
MacOS: Sequoia 15.1
Dock: Dell D3100
Firmware: No Clue - Can I even check for this on a Mac?
DisplayLink Manager: 1.11.0 (Build 28)
Mouse/Keyboard: USB-A connected to the dock

I'm having an issue with my Dell D3100 Dock. Anytime I initially plug-in the MBP (clamshell) to the dock (USB-C), I have to hit a key on the keyboard (i.e. Spacebar) to wake up the monitors. When they wake up, I can see the desktop image and the mouse cursor, but nothing moves or works. If I open the lid of the MBP and close it, then everything starts to work.

If I restart the machine (while it's plugged to the dock), I won't even see the login screen. I have to open the lid for display to start appearing on the monitors.

I have the Login Screen Extension installed on the DisplayLink Manager and still nothing.

Is there any way to solve this? Should I change some system settings or something?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!
I am facing exactly the same problem on Dell D6000
I tried updating the dock firmware, it did not help.

Macbook Air M1, macOS Sequoia 15.1

I tried emailing support through the app and through the website a few days ago. Haven't heard anything back from them.

Same issue here on a MacBook Air (M2) with macOS 15.0.1 and DisplayLink 1.11.0 (Build 28)

I was having the same issue for the past couple of days until I downloaded and installed the latest software update, which is this one:

Release: 1.11 | Oct 8, 2024:
https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/macos

After reinstalling it, I unplugged and plugged my cable on my Mac, and it works now.

I have this version as well and still experiencing the same thing... Seems like a few people are experiencing this issue here.

Admins / Support - Is there any solution to this?

To all of those posting in this thread...

If the original manufacturer of your DisplayLink-based product has not been able to assist you, then I would suggest reporting the issue directly to DisplayLink by following the process outlined here --> https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/755301-how-to-report-macos-issues-to-displaylink

I sent a request to support, but did not receive a response
I thought the forum would help...

Sent in another request to DisplayLink. Hopefully some sort of reply back?
