Hi,

I installed the latest displaylink app and I noticed that the top menu bar's dropdown menus are not visible on displaylink connected screens. The dropdown menus exist and are clickable if you click in the location they should be but the displaylink is not capturing the menu render and send it to the displaylink screen.

I am referring to the dropdown menu has the About Finder, Settings, etc options. On the displaylink screen they are invisible and the window or background behind them is shown as normal.

Does anyone else have this issue or know how to show the top menus on displaylink?

This is an unexpected situation. According to our observations and tests, everything should be working properly. We will definitely take a look at this case.
Could you share more about your Mac and macOS?

Hello ansonl,

We have checked this issue and on our setup everything works fine.

Could you please give us some additional information about:

the device with DisplayLink technology that you use,

the version of DisplayLink Manager that you have installed (please ensure that it is version 1.12.0),

if your version of macOS 15.4 beta is the one up to date.

Could you please check if the same problem occurs while having version 1.9.0 of DisplayLink Manager?
