How well does DisplayLink work for M1 Macs?

I have an M1 Pro macbook which can only support 2 monitors. I have seen online a suggestion to use a DisplayLink dock as it manages to get around this limitation. But it feels like one of those things that will “sort of” work and be flaky. Anyone with experience of this dock on an M1? Geometry Vibes (https://geometryvibes.io)
