Same here. MacBook Pro, 13", Early 2011, 2,7 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

I'm the original poster of this topic. I have an iMac. The one thing that was tried was to let the computer go to sleep via power management and it didn't cause the problem. Doing it manually did. This was only tried once so it might be worth trying with other people who have this issue and see if it works the same for them.
You might be on to something with the power management idea. |
Crashing upon sleep wake up
I am having the same issue. Went to apple with the issue loaded a fresh copy of M.L. (not a time machine backup) Did not reinstalled display link driver worked fine for over a week. Loaded the driver on and it is crashing again. We need a better driver please. This is beyond frustrating

Steps to reproduce consistently
Hi,
I am having the same issue and here are the details of my macbook: 15" late 2011 16GB Ram 750G HD 2.2 i7, This happens everyday after I leave work where i use the DisplayLink, I found that crash files in my Logs folder, and OSX moved the kext file over to the Incompatible Software Directory. Try connecting the power, display link, and the apple usb keyboard into the laptop and the apple minidisplay to analog dongle. Remove the power, the display port adapter, and the usb outputs (basically work from power port and work you way down. You will see the macbook crash. What sucks about this is that I would notice that my macbook would be scorching hot when I got home from work because I thought it was going to sleep. This boils down to the crash causing my macbook to reboot and then stay stuck at the login screen while the lid was shut. Thanks, |
10.8.1 has fixed this problem
Just installed 10.8.1, reinstalled the Display Link driver and my computer is no longer restarting after being put to sleep.
Finally after 3 weeks... |
Seems to be working for me as well. Halleluja!
