Same problem with my new Lenovo X1 Carbon Touch

Just got a brand new Lenovo X1 Carbon touch and any external monitor, whether connected directly via mini-display port to DVI or DVI to through the USB 3 dock exhibits ongoing grainyness and flickering, as if watching a badly compressed JPEG video...

This is extremely dissapointing as I always work docked!! Help!

I'll echo this same situation. Been working for a month with X1 Carbon Touch and the Dock issues are extremely frustrating.

Bumping the same. I'm really not doing anything special. Unboxed laptop, connected displaylink to basic 20" lcd via dvi, and if there is even the slightest activity, i get a bit of a blur. If the monitor is connected directly to the laptop, i don't have any problems.

Exact same problem

Hi
I am also using a Lenovo USB 3.0 dock and a X1 Carbon, and I am experiencing the exact same problems; mouse and image lag.
I would like to know if you expect to fix the problems, or if I should be looking for an other dock solution, because this dock do not work sufficiently at the moment!
Regards
Simon

WHat is the status of this?

I am having the same issue for one of our executive staff and the mouse lag and screen blurryness is unacceptable. any ETA on the solution? Thanks

Yeah same problem. XPS 13 Ultrabook using kensington (3500). Also, the screen blacks out. It's as if the docking station reboots or losses connection with laptop.

Sadly, I can't find a decent competitor for a new docking station or I would jump ship. They are all just rebranded displaylinks.

I am getting very bad lag with my Sony VAIO VPCZ1. The lag is so unbearable that I must disable video from displaylink to get it to work fine. It is running a 330M Nvidia GFX

I hope you guys can come out with an issue soon.

usb driver issue

hey guys,
i had the exact same problem, but i found a post which resolved my issues (almost) completly.
i'm running a HP dock with DL-3000 series on a samsung notebook.
The Notebook uses the Intel eXtensibile USB host controller.
i found more guys having performance issues using this controller under win8 with usb 3 external drives etc.
so i finally found this tutorial on how to install the original driver from intel (for win7) in windows 8. for me it solves the performance issues!
this is the link, hope it helps :)

This is a major problem. I am so fed up with the jumpy mouse and the fuzzy images.

Can we get SOME word on when this will be fixed? I can barely get any work done.

Ugh.

Buellllllller?

I followed these instructions, now my USB doesn't doesn't work at all. I don't recommend doing this if you've got a Carbon X1 and a Lenovo USB 3.0 dock.

So much for that shimmer of hope :(
