Windows 8/GT 750M/ DL 7.4M2
 

Hallo,

I am using i-tec USB 3.0 Display Adapter on my laptop (Win 8, i5-4Gen. nVidia 750M). I hade DL 7.3 and all worked fine. But after i installed DL 7.4M2 it work no more. My first display is only flashing and second display(connected with Display Adapter) is complete off.

Do you recall which version of 7.3 you previously had installed?

Does the flashing stop if you disconnect the adapter?

Yes. But it does not help.

No, flashing dont stop.

I stop DLManager App and after this stop flashing.
And if i set in Screen Resolution in Win8 multiple display on duplicate displays/show only on 1. After this, flashing stop and my 2. Display (connect with Display Adapter) is only black.

I have installed DL 7.4 M2 and nVidia 327.23, it does not help. Display Adapter dont work. If I Uninstall nVidia driver, then does Adapter work. But with nVidia driver it dies not work.

my displayadapter still dont work. Display is black. If I make an screenshot i see two normal desktops. But display is black ;(

If i uninstall NVIDIA drivers, its work all fine. But i need my nvidia card.

I have Windows 8.1 Pro now.

Infos? Are you working on this problem?

I also have this same issue (1 or 2 displays have black screen always) after I upgraded to 7.4M2 on a Windows 8.1 Pro installation.

Like Vladimir, if I take a screenshot, I see the desktops for the 1 (or 2) additional monitors I plug in. The actual monitors receive a signal, but the screen output is completely black. I forgot to make a note of what version was working before I upgraded... grr. It was installed definitely some time after 9/15/13.... not sure what version was current at that point in time that I downloaded.

I also have an NVIDIA card... a GT 740m, on a Toshiba Satellite P50-ABT2G22 custom-built laptop. The previous version of the software was working fine with the 327.23 drivers. I have not tried to upgrade to newer NVIDIA drivers yet...

More to come as I diagnose further. Using an HP 3005pr USB 3.0 port replicator.

Edit 1: I was able to download 7.4M0 and revert to a working setup with the same NVIDIA drivers as before. Vladimir, this download should be helpful in the meantime: Link is here: http://displaylink.com/support/sla.php?fileid=98

It's work again. I use latest nvidia driver and 7.4M0. Now I must defeat my Windows. This peace of ... install automatically the latest displaylink driver :(.

Hi Same problem here, Dell insperion 17 7000 with Intel and Nvidia video cards.

Edit: The dock i use is the Dell superspeed usb 3.0 docking station.

Also installed the 7.4M0 driver and all works like a charm. while installing the latest driver gives me flickering screens.


Search for change device installation settings in windows 8 and disable automatic installation.
That did the trick for me.

Something I forgot to mention is that when upgrading to 7.4M2, the firmware on my device is upgraded. Likewise, when downgrading to 7.4M0, the firmware on my device is (presumably) downgraded to what came with 7.4M0... so it might be some issue that's related to the new firmware that gets installed on the devices?

Would be nice to get a fix for this to be able to use the newer versions with the rest of the latest bug fixes.

I have the same problem. I have a ASUS N550JV with dual grafic cards intel hd graphics 4600 and nvidia geforce gt 750M.

I have made a complete uninstall of everything and then installaed upgrade v. 7.5 M0.... with the same result.
The screen is visible on a screen dump but black otherwise. It used to work before upgrade.

After waiting 4 months without a fix I bought a new usb-adaptor today. It turned out that it also used DisplayLink inside and had the same problem. So now I have spent 200 dollars and far too many hours trying to fix this issue.

Does anybody know a solution or a good alternative to displaylink?
