Windows 10 FCU - DisplayLink monitor reverts to disconnected state after reboot
I'm having a problem with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and my DisplayLink display. After rebooting my machine, the DisplayLink display reverts to "Disconnect this display" in Display Settings. I can change it back to "Extend desktop to this display" and the display works fine.
However, after rebooting, the display reverts back to "Disconnect this display". Interestingly, I can enable the display, disconnect the dock, reconnect the dock, and Windows extends to the display after a few seconds. It is only after reboot that the display reverts to disconnected. Having to re-extend the desktop to my display after every reboot is quite tedious. My laptop stays connected to the same Plugable dock and monitor configuration. |
I'm having the exact same issue with my USB-VGA-165. I'm using Windows 10 Pro version 1709 and I'm using the latest displaylink driver 8.6.1165.0
