Dell XPS13+Kensington sd3500v = Flickering screen, Ethernet loss

Hi,

I'm running a Dell XPS13 with i7-3687u processor running Windows 7 and connecting it to a Kensington sd3500v USB 3.0 dock. We have multiple makes/models of monitors so some are connected by DVI, others by HDMI, and some more with a DVI+HDMI dongle. The result is still the same.

The external display will eventually flicker, some sooner and others later. The network connection will kick off and back on.

I've already upgraded the USB 3.0 controller with the latest drivers from Dell and I'v tried the DisplayLink software from 7.1 to 7.4. All of them give me the same issue.

Anyone have suggestions or ideas?:confused:

PS. When we first tested the dock, only about half the drivers were automatically installed (missing ethernet). But no issue with the monitor was ever reported. The only reason I started installing 7.2 was that the laptop was connecting to the wifi and not picking up the ethernet connection.

Hi,

Does this happen on both the USB 3.0 ports on your notebook?

Thanks,
James

Hi,

I've got the same problem under Windows 8
Running DisplayLink Software 7.5

I updated all the intel drivers, but it still keeps disconnecting.
