4K 60hz issues

Hi guys,

I have a 2023 Macbook Pro (M2). I have two Samsung M7 4K Monitors. I have connected them to a UGREEN USB-C 9 in 1 Hub (Model 90912) via HDMI (these monitors do not have DisplayPort).

I have made sure my HDMI cables are 2.1 and capable of up to 8K.

When I am using this set up, the screens say 60hz in the display settings, but they do not act like they're 60hz, they feel choppy and a bit slow. When I connect one of the monitors directly to the laptop via HDMI, this issue doesn't happen.

I don't really know what to do and really need some help here.

Anyone able to help?

Edit: When plugging the monitor directly into the laptop it works as intended. Now the other screen that is plugged in via the dock is stating it is 60hz but is noticeably choppier than the monitor plugged directly in to the laptop.

What kind of cable are you using to connect the MacBook to Doc..? the supplied on?

Also what power supply are you using.?

I have seen this issue with another dock and it was due to insufficient power or poor quality host cable.

Hi there,

I am using the cable supplied with the dock. As for power supply I am just using the Macbook charger for it. Perhaps that's where my issue is.

hey, so how you manage that problem? Was that because of poor cable quality?

because i just bought same ugreen product for my macbook pro M1 and i got same problem.
monitors are 27" viewFinity 4K 60Hz.

Mac is connected to ugreen with cable what was in the box and monitors are connected to ugreen via original samsung HDMI cables. And movement on screen is so terrible, its choppy af.
