Dell E7270 - Both Monitors Blinking Randomly

1 Attachment(s)
Dell E7270 - Both Monitors going black repeatedly. This occurs randomly and is not reproducible at-will. The USB Dock is connected via USB 3 connection to the back of the laptop. The laptop and dock are both powered via their proper power cables.

Connected to 2 24" Dell Monitors, connections are HDMI to DisplayPort and DisplayPort to DisplayPort. Both are running at the default refresh rate of 60 Hertz. We have replaced the cabling, including the USB and video cables. We have disabled USB Selective Sleep from the Windows 7 Pro x64 Power Options per recommendations of this site.

We have contacted Dell. They sent a tech on site. After going through the troubleshooting steps below they have now advised that we run DisplayLink's support tool and open a thread for support. We have done so and the .zip is attached.

Please see steps already completed below:

5.Run Windows Update by searching for wuapp on the Windows 7 Start Menu or Windows 8 Start Screen then clicking or taping wuapp.exe.
**Found 2 missing updates, installed both KB3033929 and KB3042058

Hello,

I unfortunately do not see any attachment.
The tech support guy you got was a bit lazy... Dell designed that product and Dell is supposed to support it!
Nonetheless, I'll be delighted to look into it once I have the logs and the answer to a few questions:
1. When the monitor is blinking, does the content of these monitor (windows) go to the laptop/primary monitor?
2. Is the blink once, and about 1 second?
3. Does your office use gas lift chairs? If so, can you have a look if that blink can be linked to someone standing up, or a fridge nearby starting?
4. What is the lenght of the VIDEO cables you are using?

Kind regards,
Alban

It does correlate to gas lift chair movement.

We have notified Dell again about that, but they seem to not believe us.

We are returning the products en-masse to Dell until they figure things out.

Thanks for your time...
