Hi,

Our devices comply with the CDC NCM specification. This is a standard protocol for Ethernet devices over USB.
Operating systems can choose to have a standard USB class driver for each standard USB protocol. This is recommended as it reduces driver fragmentation.

Apple has introduced their CDC NCM class driver in El Capitan.
As a result since that version we no longer install our proprietary Ethernet driver for macOS.

So in short AppleUSBNCM.kext is the right driver and I'd agree with Apple that this may be a driver issue.
In any case the debugging should logically start with a debug version of the driver. If any issues are found on the device side we can assist Apple as we've done for other USB issues in the past.

It would be great if you could include our support e-mail in your follow up with Apple.

Regards,
Carlo
