Log spamming
I've not done anything extraordinary to cause it but the DisplayLinkManager service is taking up a LOT of cpu cycles (so everything bogs down) and is spamming the logs continuously with errors:
Code:
Oct 23 07:13:04 hyperuberlaptop2 WindowServer[182] <Error>: allocate_backing_surface : IOAccelCreateSurface = e00002c7 |
Thank you for the report shadowcat. We're working right now on this issue, we'd like to have a solution by the final 2.5.
Best regards, Carlo |
Awesome, thanks! I appreciate all the hard work you guys are putting into this.

I'm running 2.5 and my log still look like this:
|
I'm running 2.5 (68993) and seeing same behavior:
Code:
Mar 3 22:58:53 RANDOM-COMPUTER-NAME DisplayLinkUserAgent[393]: CGSDisplayStreamCreate: Invalid display 0xffffffff |
This is happening a LOT to me, right now, on my Dual Head Display adapter (anker).
92% cpu for DisplayLinkManager / 40% DisplayLinkUserAgent ARGH mac os x 10.11.4 with most recent drivers |
Hi we've made quite a few logging improvements in 2.5.1 but I have still seen this issue myself. I wonder if 10.11.4 is involved.
The issue usually goes away with a replug however very annoying and we should be able to resolve it, so it's in our list. Kind regards, Carlo |
