Is it normal for DisplayLinkManager to use 70-100% cpu on a Macbook Pro, Mojave running two external monitors with the laptop lid closed ? :(

Using DisplayLink Driver version: 5.2.15

no. 10-20% I would say is normal.

If your running Mojave try and turn off nightshift. Mojave 10.14.6 has an issue with nightshift that will result in Displaylink using 100% CPU.
