Horrible performance since displayLInk driver update
 

Since I had to update the driver, as MacOS didnt support the old one, the performance is horrible. I had to go down from UHD to HD and still it eats up my CPU performance, depending on how much is moving on screen. I can just take a finder window an wiggle around with it on screen with my mouse and see the cpu going up. Whats going on?? :confused:

Same issue is on my MBA M1. UHD is laggy, 1080p works pretty fast.

What MacOs version and DisplayLink driver do you use now and before?

Catalina 10.15.7
I dont know the old version, the new one is 1.3.0.
For the old driver, I didnt need a "manager" tool in the menu bar..

Now it seems to me as if this "manager" tool is a virtual screen capture tool that creates something like a virtual monitor instead of native support..
