"Please Allow DisplayLink Device to connect to Mac" message
Hey folks,
Got an M1Pro MBP. Have installed the DisplayLink software, and get the "Please Allow DisplayLink to connect to this Mac" message. Can't seem to get past it. I've changed the System Prefs parameter "Allow Accessories to Connect" to always, as per the KB article. Several reboots, restarts of the software, plugged/unplugged etc, still not cooperating. Is there anything dumb i'm missing? (I'm running Ventura 13.01 on a M1-Pro MBP, and trying to connect to multiple monitors via a Lenovo displaylink dock) Thanks for your assistance/time! |
Seems to be a common issue, I have it as well.

Hello,
Even if you allow the USB access the message will still be displayed. If your docking station is functioning correctly, your external monitors are working then you should be good to go. The message will show in the DisplayLink Manager GUI regardless, it is normal. |

Apple speaks to this detail under the 'Accessory Security' section of the macOS 13 Ventura release notes here --> https://developer.apple.com/document...-release-notes With that said, based on your description of the behavior I would suggest you contact the manufacturer of your DisplayLink-based product for assistance. If the original manufacturer is unable to help, then I would suggest reporting the issue directly to DisplayLink by following this procedure --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink |
