Am I the only one left?

I had this issue for about a day and then Apple released new firmware for my Mac and all has been well since. So, I would say make sure your firmware is up to date.

There is no firmware update (MBP 15-inch Mid-2010 here).

AppleCare Fix That Worked For Me

I had the same GSOD when connecting DVI cable to a Thunderbolt port in my MBP with Retina, running 10.8.2 with latest update as of 10/6/2012. I had a call with AppleCare and followed their suggestion below which fixed the issue:

Go to Applications > Disk Utility > Macintosh HD, click ‘Verify Disk Permissions’ and click ‘Repair Disk Permissions’. Restart.

Hope that helps.

Hey guys,

Just did a clean install from 10.6.8 where I had some random crashes, updated to 10.8.2 and now I am experiencing some Gray screens that don't treat me nicely.

Since I did experience crashes in the old install, I might have some other issue. How ever, the crash logs indicate that DL might have a hand, or at least report something on the issue.

I've attached the System information and the crash dumps.

I got the crashes at three different times. I did clean install today, I did a 8x erase of the disk before reinstall.

I had just booted the computer for the first time. Changed security settings so I could install display link driver, worked fine.
Before I did the reboot that the installation requires I did the System Update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2 and then rebooted.

Then after logon, I tried to download Citrix Receiver, it crashed when i clicked "Download Citrix Receiver". and then again just when I had written my password to log back on after bootup.

I have a trackpad, connected through bluetooth, which might have a hand in this, as stated above. You have how ever listed the issue as solved on your page for 10.8.1 http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=333

Thanks in advance!

Well well, I just did a fresh install on a different MBP.
This mac is currently in 10.8.1, worked fine for about a week, haven't had anything connected since I got it.

Now to test out my problem on my main machine I did the following.

1. Installed the Bluetooth trackpad.
2. Installed the Display Link Mac drivers.
3. Rebooted the machine.
4. Once I got to the logon screen I connected the USB-DisplayLink and Mini-DP.
- Boom, crash.

I have attached the logs from that machine in this post.

My guess would be the trackpad is still causing some issues.
I have solved this temporary for myself by setting up Synergy and use the mouse and keyboard from my PC.

Would have liked to use the trackpad and mac keyboard in windows though :)
