Dell 4-in-1 displaylink adapter stopped working
 

I have been using this device to hook up my Dell XPS 13 9350 via HDMI to a Vizio monitor. It has worked perfectly well for the past year or so, and now all of a sudden it is not working. The TV seems to work fine. When I plug in the Display Link adapter, the PC monitor goes blank as usual, but then on the TV there is "No Source Found" or something similar. I have tried the following:

- double checked all correct inputs and connections, multiple times
- changed out the HDMI cable with a new one
- switched USB ports on the computer
- uninstalled and then re-installed the latest drivers for the Display Link
- switching HDMI inputs on the monitor side
- made sure Windows 10 (Pro) is up to date, as well as latest BIOS, graphics drivers, etc


None of this seems to work. Any suggestions?
