Why does Plugable claim no Mac/Linux support?
 

Why does Plugable explicitly say that there is no Mac or Linux support when the same chipset (5500) from Diamond does have support? Do the Plugable products actually work with the DL drivers for macOS? Do they just not want to deal with supporting those platforms? If so that doesn't give me much confidence in them.
