Sketchup Crashing in DisplayLink *.2

I found this issue in a 2017 post and am wondering if there is any solution. Sketchup 2018, 2017 and I believe earlier versions will crash after opening if the Sketchup Window is on the DisplayLink monitor. Sketchup seems to work fine on the laptop monitor when the DisplayLink is disconnected. Of course I would like to use the larger monitor to do graphics.

HP Envy Laptop J000 Windows 10 Pro (current)
Intel HD Graphics 400 Driver: 10.18.15.4248 6/15
Nvidia GeForce GT 740M Driver: 24.21.13.9836 6/18
DisplayLink Driver: 9.2.20570

Is it possible to force Sketchup to use the laptop monitor?
Is there a workaround to use the DL monitor?

Thank you

Hello,

This Windows 10 issue is fixed in a Windows Insiders 20H1 builds.
We are waiting on Microsoft decision to service the fix to Windows 10 v1903 through the monthly patch. It affects multi-GPU systems with indirect displays like USB graphics and Miracast wireless projection.

The workaround is to keep your laptop screen enabled and as main display BEFORE you launch your application.

Alban
