HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 on Mac Sonoma
I use my Macbook Air and HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with 2 27-inch HP monitors. I was using an HP usb-c/a universal dock g2 before but changed it to an HP Thunderbolt dock. It was working with HP usb-c/a universal dock before but after I changed my dock station it didn't detect the 2nd monitor. I downloaded DisplayLink and updated my OS to Mac Sonoma 14.1.1 but when I plugged in the Thunderbolt connection the section allowed the DisplayLink device to check to my Mac but it kept flashing. I could not click it as it was closing too fast.

Hello,
DisplayLink technology works with DisplayLink Manager software in tandem with a DisplayLink chip in the dock.
Therefore, the DisplayLink Manager app has no function with your new dock. It will not see or manage it. If you want to benefit from DisplayLink technology on the Macbook Air, and have DisplayLink Manager, you'd need to switch back to a docking station featuring DisplayLink technology. Regards, Alban |
