DisplayLink Driver 1.4 causes system crash
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I am running a fresh Xubuntu 17.10 install and the displaylink driver causes a full system crash: I tried the workarounds form here, but non of them worked: http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...ent-x-upgrades I hope somebody can help me out. X-Version is: Version: 1:7.7+19ubuntu3 DL-Device: MB169B+ If you need further information, please let me know Best Regards, isset |
Hi,
What kind of crash is it? I can't see anything that looks like a crash in the logs you've sent... Does the situation improve if you connect the monitor through a powered hub? Cheers, Michal |
Hi,
the monitor works, but when I open the "Configure Display" tool, the mouse gets stuck and starts "blinking". You can also make Xubuntu open it upon a new device being connected, then I even can configure the monitor, but after a couple of seconds the same behaviour occurs. I can't swtich to a terminal or do anything else (ctrl+alt+fX), hence I have to do a hard reset. Best Regards isset |
Hi,
