Pulling my Hair out with 3 Monitors!
Ok, so this is the deal. I have a 2015 MBP with retina and 3 external (non thunderbolt displays). Frustrated because I currently run 3 monitors on my PC video card (Nvidia GT640 I think) using the DVI, Display port and HDMI connections and cannot seem to get an answer on setting up my mac.
I have 1 23inch Dell Monitor connected through a Display port to thunderbolt, another 23.8 Dell monitor connected through HDMI to thunder bolt and tried another direct connection HDMI to my mac. Of course only two works so I bought a few different HDMI/VGA adapters but coming up short. I see 3.0 USB to DVI etc. but they're like $50 bucks and not sure if that'll even work. Any help would be great! Thanks, |
Hi,
Yes you can either use USB adapters or you could consider the Dell D3100 docking station that supports 3 independent monitors http://www.displaylink.com/shop/hot_...php#dell-d3100 Thanks, James |
I have Macbook Airs (2010, 2011) and a mac Mac Mini Late 2014: They all work fine with one Monitor directly to the Mac (MBA Displayport/Thunderbolt to HDMI-adapter, or in case of the MacMini direct Hdmi-Hdmi) and two other Monitors using USB 3.0-HDMI Adapters from Nerwertech.
In all setups I am very satisfied with the USB-adapters. Even with the USB 2.0 in the MBa's ist works fine. |
