I have windows 7 / 64 bit
procedure install:
run setup 6x.
reboot computer
Display link prepare to first use
reboot computer
blue screen

After this only one way to unistall Display Link is start W7 in less resolution 640//480
After uninstall I clear registry but problems is still present (only I cant clrear VID_17E9&PID_02EE key )

I think this will be a compatibility with your primary graphics drivers, or another application (less likely). A known application that can cause this is the Credant Security Software, so make sure you don't have this installed.

Can you update your primary graphics drivers to the latest version, and check you don't have Credant security software installed. If that doesn't fix it, please post the log files, so we can see the dmp files to know what is causing the blue screen.

Thanks

Wim

Thanks for reply

I bought this notebook 2 days ago, and I think that drivers are update (program asus update show that all is ok). I use DisplayLink with previous notebook (asus too with window 7 64 b) and I don't have any problems

I don't use Credant security software,

Have You simple instruction to make this log some link to faq ???

Kind of same problem on Asus x93SV

Hi I encountered the same problem yesterday, I updated HD3000 driver and Nvidia driver, then BSOD was gone. I still have strange behavior:
When I use windows7 with aero activated, all my screens are going black with the mouse cursor blinking. If I unactive aero, it works with plenty of glitches in opened windows

Cheers

Fred
