No iPad password
 

Hi

I am using an iPad 1 and XP.

During the installation of the software onto the PC I am asked for the iPad password. I don't use an iPad password! Therefore it seems that I cannot install the software onto my PC?

I have tried tabbing through the 'password' and 'confirm password' screen during the setup routine, but because I don't have a password on my iPad I can't get past that point.

I am sure I will be missing something.

Now I see.

As mentioned in at least one previous post, you need to have a common password between your PC and iPad, not anything to do with an iPad password (or lack of) nor using your Windows user password.

Newbies, eh?
