Install DisplayLink software fails - Win 7
I am using a Plugable USB 2.0 Display Adpater that uses your hardware/software solutions. I tried to upgrade to the new 6.1-X drivers, and the system keeps failing when trying to remove the 6.0-X drivers. I also am unable to remove the older software using the Windows-7 Programs and Features window.
When I try to run the new DisplayLink 6.1-35567.exe it fails to install with a message that it is unable to install the DisplayManager core software. I am running it as an Administrator, and I have tried everything save manually editing the registry (I would rather not do that) to remove the old DisplayLink versions. Any ideas? I have downloaded the DL support tool. Would that be of any help? Thanks, Nanouk |
