Confirming availability of portrait (rotated) mode on Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421
Hello. I'm considering the purchase of my first USB monitor, a Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 (14" 1366x768). The Lenovo spec page doesn't explicitly state that the monitor can be used in portrait mode. I'm not concerned whether the monitor's stand will prop it up when rotated, only that the Display Link software will support the rotation.
Reading the Display Link Windows driver documentation, I see that rotated mode is a menu option but I don't know if this is across-the-board or monitor-dependent. My main computer is a Lenovo T400 laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Also, if anyone else is running a T400 and a large USB monitor, will a single USB port will provide sufficient power? Anything else I should know? Thanks. -Victor Urbach |
Yes - rotation is supported in software for any DisplayLink based product.

Thanks Wim. That's good news. I assume rotation is supported for both mirrored and extended desktops then.
