Still having issues
 

I installed the 1.8 alpha update and still have an unresponsive monitor (I have never been able to get it to function). I can see the BVU195 on the system information screen but the monitor (HP 2311) does not show up.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Finally got it to work :)

I took some of the advice I saw in other posts. Basically, I was missing the /Library/LaunchAgents folder. I added the folder, did an uninstall, verify permissions, re-install and it is now working fine.
