XP: 2nd monitor black, adapter lit & recognized
I've tried to install the USB display adapter several times and cannot get anything to work. When I go to the Display Settings, it see the 2nd monitor, but it's greyed out and I'm not able to enable it. The USB adapter has a solid green light on it and the software has been installed (verified by COntrol Panel>Programs).
Everytime I re-plug in the adapter, I'm prompted to install the software again. After walking through the steps, it asks me for the "Installation CD". I don't have an installation cd, and point it to the setup file doesn't work. ??? I've ran the support tool and attached the files. THanks for the help |

It looks like our graphics drivers are unable to install on this PC and I'm not sure why.
Could you try uninstalling DisplayLink software and cleaning the PC as described here: http://kb.displaylink.com/297 Then see if there is an updated driver for your primary graphics card, then reinstall the DisplayLink software and see if this solves the issue. Wim |
