Shuts Down my Macbook Pro when I connect USB

I have the Toshiba Dynadock U, and I'm working fine with it with my HP Windows Laptop, but I also want to use it with my Macbook Pro and I have problems with it.

I installed the both the Alpha 1.8 and 1.7 driver and in both cases, every time I plug the USB cable to the MacBook Pro, I get a big message that warns me that the laptop needs to shut down.

Have someone had a similar error like mine? I don't know if it has to do the fact that I used the docking station in a windows laptop before I used it in the Mac

Thanks in advance
Hector

If it's a USB 2 device it's likely to be a known issue of the Ethernet driver: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=157

If it's a USB 3 device Mac is not supported yet.

So after installing the driver mentioned above, I can plug a third monitor which is great :) , the thing is that now I don't have network connectivity via ethernet, and if I plug my headphones I can't hear any sound.

Does anyone know how to fix this? At least I have internet via WiFi, and the headphone sound is no big deal as I can get it directly from the laptop, but I'd like to have the Docking Station working correctly

USB ports from the Docking station seem to be working fine as my mouse and keyword are working well, it's just the network connectivity via Ethernet and the sound from headphones.

BTW: I have a MacBook Pro that I bought last year in May 2011

Hector

Have you checked the Network and Sound System Preferences? Mac OS may have picked the new interfaces on the dock.

Cheers,
Carlo
